Description

In the Footsteps of St. Peter — Join beloved actor David Suchet (PBS’s Poirot series) as he embarks on an epic journey from Galilee to Rome in search of the Apostle Peter. In this major two-part documentary series produced for the BBC, Suchet explores how a humble fisherman, known for his stubborn and impetuous personality became a leading figure in the early church, playing a key role in keeping the movement from splintering. Suchet travels from Peter’s humble Galilean birthplace to Jerusalem, where a terrified Peter denies his beloved friend and teacher on the eve of the crucifixion. Encounter Peter’s miraculous transformation on the day of Pentecost and explore the question, what happened to Peter after he mysteriously vanished from the biblical account? The series follows the biblical account to reveal the miraculous life of one of the most important figures in church history.

Discover Who Is This Jesus? — Two thousand years ago a man who changed the course of history was born. He was a carpenter. As an adult he never traveled more than 60 miles. He was betrayed by one of his 12 followers and executed for crimes he did not commit. Today in an age of skepticism and materialism there are millions of people from all walks of life who believe in him and who claim he has radically changed their lives. But who is this Jesus? Archaeologist, author, and historian Chris Sinkinson seeks to answer the question in a down-to-earth, no-nonsense style, specifically designed to help people with no previous knowledge of Jesus to have a better understanding of who he is.

The Unseen Realm — Hosted by Corbin Bernsen and based on the best-selling book by Dr. Michael S. Heiser, The Unseen Realm casts a light on the strange and enigmatic plane of the supernatural that lies within the pages of Scripture. And what we discover are two distinct worlds—with vastly different inhabitants—created and ruled by one loving triune God.

Sifting the Evidence — What does archaeology tell us about the historical accuracy of the Bible? Join host Dr. Chris Sinkinson as he visits the great sites of the Holy Land, including the site of the original “City of David”; the Temple Mount; Capernaum, where you can see the remnants of the Apostle Peter’s house; and the church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. This beautifully photographed two-part documentary series takes you inside these fascinating sites and allows you to see them as never before. Insightful commentary from the host and a team of experts will connect these sites with the stories and characters of the Old and New Testaments, explaining why we can rely on the historical accuracy of the Scriptures.

Eyewitness Bible: Revelation — Revelation was likely the last book of the New Testament to be written, and was placed last in the New Testament. It was most likely written in the 80s or 90s A.D. by the Apostle John while he was exiled on the Island of Patmos. The apocalyptic imagery in Revelation makes the book difficult to understand and open to a wide variety of interpretations. Some believe the book describes events of John’s time, others believe it describes portions of the history of the Roman empire, while others believe it describes events that still have yet to occur. Many others think it describes portions of those three times along with other events, while others think it is entirely symbolic or allegorical. There are seemingly endless ways of interpreting this dynamic book, especially when other prophetic books of the Bible are brought into the matter. However, rather than throwing up your hands in frustration, take comfort that the author of Revelation encourages you to read and take to heart this special message from Jesus. The series is presented through eyewitness testimonies in five segments.
